Bluenose will host the Friday Hors d’oeuvres at CYC. Folks should

warning for today, race #3, will be at 1300 hrs, with a start time of
1305 hrs. This is reflected on the Official Notice Board, together with
the appropriate flags on the port club hoist. Said flags are "L", lima,
under which is numeral pennant #1, first amendment, then the Yellow
flag for your class flag. I hope this message helps. |

To all those that are competing in the Chester Classics Cup please be advised that the start tomorrow will be at 1pm or 1300
hours instead of 1:30 aspm as indicated on the S/I's. This is posted on

Virginia's
100th Birthday was held at Gold River Marina at 12 Noon.
Cindy Bradette abbly organized a sensational function. John Wurts'
toast was short and sweet, and great fiddle tunes mixed with a little
classic rock were provided by Paul & Eilidh Buchanan. Three 100
plus year old boats were on display for all who attended to see and
enjoy! |

Morash and she forwareded CCF: I am visiting from Texas - our kids are
sailing in the 420 NAs at SMSC. I wanted to check to see if you know of
any Bluenose racers that might need a crew for this weeks races. I will
be in the area through Monday, 7/22. I have years of experience racing
keelboats - J24, J22, J80, some Shields and IODs, too. If weight is a
consideration, I am approx. 185 lbs. I would love a chance to try the

My Chester Yacht Club Winter Newsletter, dated January 2013, has just arrived, so you must have yours too. Race Week is August 14th to 17th. A$50.00 fee will be added to all dues payments received after May 31, 2013. The mooring fee deadline is the same. Don't forget this as there is a waiting list for moorings. rumor! The requirement has been watered down, and providing
personal information is now voluntary. The final implementation may be
as
much as five years out. I can't help but wonder which club or clubs
balked. |

It is rumored that Nova Scotia
Health and Wellness will require more information from Provincial Sport
Organizations concerning their participants. Information such as
date of birth, gender, postal code, home club, and more will be
required. This information must be submitted to NSYA prior to Oct 31,
2013. I don't think CCF is a formal enough organization to be
required to provide this information but I am sure CYC is. I wonder

We have added a new member to
the CCF web page design team. Thomas Nielsen of Horsens, Denmark has
agreed to help out with web design beyond my competence. He
has implemented a more robust security system, which will help prevent
hackers from getting into our private information. His changes will
appear on the Web Page soon. Thomas sailed on Virginia as crew in 2011
and 2012. Hopefully he will sail with us again in 2013. He is
completing a degree in Information Technology this year and may
continue on to advanced IT studies after graduation. |

We received an email forwarded
by Topher Wurts from Nicola Boyd that Lee Sweet had lost his
fight with cancer. According to his wishes there will be no funeral
service or
obituary, but there will be a celebration of his life at the farm
in Virginia and in Chester. Lee's contribution to the Seneca syndicate
and to the Chester Classic Fleet was impressive. We will miss him
greatly. |

provide his big blue boat, Seafarer, to act as Committee Boat for the
Classic Fleet again this year! |

In an email to Topher, John
Curry
announced that Race Week 2013 will take place from Wed. Aug. 14 to Sat.
Aug 17. He plans to add two distance classes to the Delta fleet. (CCF
races in the Delta fleet) The racing will be over 15 to 18 mile
round-the-buoys courses, some of which will be within sight of shore. |
